Dear Johnny,
You're an incredible writer! I remember you from the meetings in Wash., as well as your very kind mom. Thank you for reminding us what needs to be done. I've tried to make it happen here, and it was a very disappointing situation, given the mountain (Okemo) was not receptive at all. I've gotten more involved and will try again with a different venue.

@saurabh: I'm glad to hear you are enthusiastic about contributing! Good luck on your surgery.

@Ed: It has healed pretty well. My wrist is still tight, but I can type, which is all I need.

Excellent piece, John.... we all need to be reminded again from time to time as to the gravity of the situation and the urgency of the battle.
Hope your scaphoid is healing well..... that little bone can be a troublesome mender.

@sharon and @michael: I'm glad you two are the first commenters. It's oddly satisfying.

@Diane: Maybe my next few blog posts should share how other successful fundraisers raise money. While the letter writing campaigns work very well, The Seaman family obviously has some other good ideas.

John,

Any way to raise funds is a good way if it helps to fight chordoma. We raised almost $2500 this year and will continue to do so. Tyler will sell chordoma bracelets at camp and the money will go to the foundation. I not sure about writing to friends and family but will consider the idea. Great to hear you're working on the fund raising pages; they need your help. Stay healthy.
